I nearly didn't go today when the car refused to start - completely dead, later diagnosed as a failed battery - but not wanting to miss a fine spring day, I transferred the gear into my wife's car. Fortunately she didn't need it.
I'm glad I went as I had good sport with the bream and managed a couple of tench, which were my target species. However, a carp got the better of me.
I only stayed for just over 3 hours as I needed to sort my car out, but it was well worth going.
