On Monday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to an attic fire on O’Neil Ct. in the City of Oakley.

The fire was reported at 4:12 am Monday at O’Niel Ct off Main Street and when fire crews arrived, they located smoke coming from the attic of a 1-story home. They also confirmed this being an active attic fire.

Crews mobilized to make fire attack and quickly knocked down the fire after roof ventilation. No injuries were reported and the fire did not spread to any nearby homes.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
