Armed Forces Day, 75th Anniversary of the Armed Forces, parade revived after 10 years

Starting at 4 p.m. on this day, a street march will be held from Sungnyemun Gate in Seoul to Gwanghwamun Square, mobilizing about 4,600 troops and 170 pieces of equipment. The march included the Army's K21 infantry fighting vehicle, K2 Black Panther tank, and K9 self-propelled howitzer, as well as the Marine Corps' amphibious assault vehicle (KAAV), various unmanned aerial vehicles and unmanned submarines, Patriot surface-to-air missiles, medium-range surface-to-air guided weapon systems (Cheongung, M-SAM), and long-range Surface-to-air guided weapon systems (L-SAM) are mobilized.
In particular, high-yield ballistic missiles, which are classified as a secret project and whose official name is not even disclosed, will participate in the street parade on this day.

건군 제75주년 국군의 날 시가행진이 10년 만에 부활

이날 오후 4시부터 서울 숭례문에서 병력 4600여명, 장비 170여대를 동원해 광화문 광장까지 시가행진을 진행한다. 행진에는 육군의 K21 보병전투장갑차와 K2 흑표 전차, K9 자주포와 함께 해병대의 상륙돌격장갑차(KAAV), 각종 무인기와 무인잠수정, 패트리엇 지대공 미사일, 중거리 지대공 유도무기체계(천궁, M-SAM), 장거리 지대공 유도무기체계(L-SAM) 등이 동원된다.
특히 이날 시가행진에는 비닉(庇匿) 사업으로 분류돼 제식명조차 공개되지 않는 고위력 탄도미사일도 참여한다.

국군의 날(國軍의 日)은 대한민국의 기념일 중 하나로, 매년 10월 1일이다. 대한민국 국군을 기념하며, 국군의 위용을 세계 만방에 널리 알리고 장병들의 사기를 높이기 위해 정한 날로, 과거의 공군의 날 (10월 1일)·육군의 날 (10월 2일)·해군의 날 (11월 11일)을 한데 합치기로 하여 1956년에 제정하였다. 1956년 9월 21일 3군 기념일을 통합하고 10월 1일을 (국군의날에 관한규정, 대통령령)에 근거하여 국군의 날로 지정, 이날이 되면 사열·시범 전투 등 각종 행사를 국민들 앞에서 펼쳐보이기도 한다.
