SAANICH - It is unimaginable for any parent.

The thought of leaving behind a young child, knowing you are dying.

But that is reality for one Saanich woman. The single mom has terminal cancer and she is struggling to make ends meet.

And now she is trying to make plans for her son to go on without her.

28 year old Julia Wolf says her oncologist gives her a 20% chance of surviving the next 5 years.

Julia has a 3 year old son, Lucas.

She says all she wants is to make sure he is taken care of after she is gone. Her best friend has offered to care for him and welcome Lucas into her family.

There is a Trust Fund set up for Lucas to go to University.
