The Australian’s Foreign Editor Greg Sheridan says Paul Keating is a “pathetic old guy these days”.

The former prime minister claimed Anthony Albanese should have fired ASIO boss Mike Burgess and took aim at Foreign Minister Penny Wong.

“Keating is, you know, I think a kind of pathetic old guy these days,” Mr Sheridan told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“Everything he said was contradicted by Lee Hsien Loong, the prime minister of Singapore, by President Marcos, the president of the Philippines.

“Keating’s idea that we discredited ourselves by being pro-American is utterly, utterly ridiculous.”
