Описание к видео 9 years of real footage of a planet orbiting a binary star (HD 143811 AB b)

This timelapse shows 9 years of real data of a 6 Jupiter-mass exoplanet orbiting around not one, but two stars. The binary stars orbit each other in a tight orbit (about one-fifth the Earth-Sun distance) while the planet orbits both of them at around 60 times the Earth-Sun distance (slightly furhter than Pluto's distance from our Sun). This planet would see both stars at sunset like Tatooine, although this planet is not habitable.

Images used in the timelapse are from the Gemini South Telescope and the Very Large Telescope.
