HP AIO 22-df0023w Disassembly & SSD Install

I am installing a Silicon Power 512GB SATA SSD into a slightly older all-in-one HP 22-df0023w. This should hopefully go fairly quickly and easily.

Old hard drives use a disk and platter mechanism which is mechanical in nature which gives it limitations on how data can move in and out. Solid state drives are non-mechanical in nature which uses chips to store data thus the speed of data moving in and out is far faster. The SATA bus is comparatively slower than PCIe, which is what the new NVMe's use, but still are much faster than traditional disks.
