I’ve been coming to this restaurant since I was a kid, and to me, it’s the finest Greek food in the Upper Midwest. Owner Ana Christoforides prepares traditional and modern dishes using organic, wild-caught, and locally sourced ingredients. From flaming saganaki and tender octopus to unforgettable lamb riblets and their iconic combo plate, every dish has a story behind it.

Northeast Minneapolis is known for art, culture, and creativity — and Gardens of Salonica embodies all of it. Sculptor Zoran Mojsilov’s artwork fills the space, and the warm welcome from Ana makes every visit feel like coming home. Sharing this place with my daughter Benedetta isn’t just a meal; it’s a memory.
