Bengaluru Mob Violence Probe | Mudassir Ahmed, who is one of the key suspects in the Bengaluru riots was arrested by the Bengaluru police on Sunday. Mudassir Ahmed is the one who on his social media profile had asked people to gather in front of DJ Halli police station for the protest, accusing Naveen of having offended a certain section of people. Mudassir had been absconding since August 11, the day of the riots. The cops had launched a manhunt for Mudassir. A joint operation of the Central Crime Branch and Bengaluru East Division Police nabbed him from Hyderabad today.
Congress MLA Akhanda Srinivas Murthy’s house and the local police station in DJ Halli area were set ablaze on the night of August 11 in Bengaluru. This over a Facebook post which was shared by his nephew Naveen criticising Prophet Muhhamad.
