Trim

Trim, with a population of around 9,000 people, is a historic town best known for Trim Castle, the largest Anglo-Norman castle in Ireland. The castle, built in the 12th century, played a pivotal role in Irish history and even served as a filming location for the movie Braveheart. Trim’s rich heritage is further showcased by the nearby ruins of the medieval St. Mary’s Abbey and the Yellow Steeple, one of the tallest medieval structures in Ireland​.

Bohermeen

Bohermeen is a small village located just a short drive from Navan in County Meath. Though much smaller than Trim, Bohermeen has a rich historical background. The area is home to Bohermeen Church, which features beautiful stained-glass windows designed by the renowned Irish artist Harry Clarke. The surrounding region is steeped in history, with ancient burial sites and landmarks that date back to early Christian times​.
