This helicopter was with Airbus Helicopters, reported not fully assembled in March 2017.

Registered by Landesamt für Zentrale Polizeiliche Dienste (LZPD NRW) as D-HNWV with Mode-S Hex: 3DF745 in June 2017.

It had received the new radio call of Hummel 5 since July 2017.

On the 22. September 2022, this H145T2 with three crew members of the LZPD practiced rescuing people out of the river Rhein by Hitdorf. The LZPD was here supported by the 2. TEE from Wuppertal. That team was also deployed during the summer 2021 flood disaster, which claimed the lives of over 180 people. This particular exercise is carried out annually in order to optimize cooperation and to perfect the corresponding movements. In the rescue, the helicopter is crewed by a pilot, co-pilot and a winch operator with a lifeguard from 2. TEE. The latter is lowered on the cable winch and brought precisely to the person or person to be rescued. The 2nd Technical Response Unit (Zweite Technische Einsatzeinheit der Wuppertaler Polizei - 2. TEE) Task forces of this unit operate, among other things, water cannons and specially protected vehicles or carry out their assignments as divers underwater.
