In this video, Casey Wood covers the basics of a Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) certification. He’ll begin by outlining what it is, how to get it, and why it will benefit your career. You’ll also learn about the four main tracks you can pursue. These include XenApp 6, XenDesktop 5, XenServer 6, and NetScaler 10.

The CCA is the entry-level certification for Citrix Systems products. It’s used to verify that you have the skills necessary to monitor, maintain, manage, and operate Citrix products.

There are four main tracks you can pursue while earning the cert.

The first is the Application Virtualization track, referred to as XenApp 6. The second is Desktop Virtualization, which is summarized as XenDesktop 5.

Next is the Server Infrastructure and Virtualization track, or XenServer 6, and finally, there’s the NetScalar 10, which covers Access and Load Balancing.

Casey will summarize each of these, then walk you through some of the factors you should consider when deciding which is the best fit for you.
