We stayed at Hotel The Mitsui Kyoto using Marriott Bonvoy points, and it was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From start to finish, every moment exceeded expectations.

This hotel has earned the highest distinction of Three Michelin Keys, recognized as one of the most exceptional stays in Japan, and it also holds a Five-Star rating from Forbes Travel Guide for world-class service and hospitality. 

The central courtyard at the heart of the property is unbelievably beautiful — such a peaceful, serene space — and I already can’t wait to return in the spring when the weeping cherry blossom tree is in full bloom.

We loved every part of the property, especially the spa (both public and private areas) and the gym, which was spotless, fully equipped, and thoughtfully stocked with cold towels, water bottles, and bananas. 

The food was fresh and incredible, our room was extremely comfortable, and the staff were among the friendliest and most attentive we’ve encountered. I’m already dreaming about coming back again.
