Saint Tiernan's Catholic Church ( http://crossmolinaparish.com/ )
Detached seven-bay double-height Catholic church, built 1859-60; dated 1860, on a cruciform plan comprising five-bay double-height nave opening into single-bay (three-bay deep) double-height transepts centered on single-bay double-height chancel to crossing (south). "Improved", 1890-2, producing present composition.

River Deel
The famous River Deel is alive with rare species of freshwater cray-fish and freshwater pearl mussels. It has amazing biodiversity, plant and bird life. It flows - sometimes menacingly—through the town from its source high in Nephin to the shore of Lough Conn. Kayaking up river has become more popular of late. Along the river at the North end of Lough Conn, you will find the ruins of Castle Gore and Deel Castle, dating back to 16th century. The last of the houses was built in 1790 but was damaged in the 1798 rebellion and was ultimately burned in the Civil War 1922.

Lough Conn
is a lake in County Mayo, Ireland. With an area of about 48 square kilometres, it is Ireland's seventh largest lake. With its immediate neighbour to the south, Lough Cullin, it is connected to the Atlantic Ocean by the River Moy. Lough Conn is noted for its trout and salmon fishing

Deel Castle
Deel Castle (Caoslean na Daoile in Irish) was built in the 16th century by the Bourkes and later renamed Castle Gore. It is located near the town of Crossmolina, County Mayo, in Ireland.
As the name suggests, the translation means "the Castle of the River Deel". Deel Castle is a 16th-century tower house of the Bourkes which is close to the northern end of Lough Conn.
After Col. Thomas Bourke had fought on the side of King James in the Williamite Wars, the property was forfeited and given to the Gore family, afterwards Earls of Arran, who renamed it Castle Gore.

Gortnor Abbey ( https://www.gortnorabbey.ie/ )
This house was built by the Ormsby family in 1780/1790. Originally Jacobites, they were reinstated at the Restoration and given grants of land in Ireland by Charles 11.
It was later purchased by William Flynn who ran it as a lakeside fishing hotel and was later eased to a Hercules Knox. The Jesus and Mary Order of nuns founded their first branch at Errew in 1912 at the request of Bishop Naughton. Mother Regis O’Connor (Irish), Mother Gonzaga (Austrian), Mother Bertha (Austrian Cook), Mother Rasphael Musgrave (English) and Mother Sebastian (Irish) pioneered the venture. A French nun, Mother Henrietta Baudowin arrived in 1915. They purchased Gortnor Abbey in 1916 and set about converting it into a Convent boarding school.

Errew Abbey
Tigernan of Errew is said to have founded a monastery here in the early 6th century. It was originally called "Mainistir Taobh Thiar do Shruth", "the abbey on the west side of the stream". Up to 1,400 students from all over Europe are claimed to have studied there.

Errew House
The house known as Errew Grange is located outside the town of Crossmolina in County Mayo on the West Coast of Ireland. Perched high on a hill, the building enjoys the duel aspect of overlooking Lough Conn in one direction and a full vista of Nephin Mountain in the other. The architect, James Franklin Fuller, who designed Errew Grange also designed a similar building located nearby. Another grand house known as Mount Falcon shares a number of exterior features in common with Errew Grange, such as a prominent corner tower. As the original interior of Errew Grange was lost in a fire

Crossmolina Deel Rovers ( http://deelrovers.com/ )
is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Crossmolina, County Mayo, Ireland. The club fields Gaelic football teams in competitions organized by the Mayo GAA county board
Tommy Jordan led the club to the 2000–01 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship.[1] Michael Moore and Padraic Syron were selectors and Jarlath Cunningham trained the team.

Enniscoe House ( https://www.enniscoe.com/ )
Francis Jackson, an officer in Cromwell’s army, received a grant of land in north Mayo in the 1650’s. He lived first in the castle in Crossmolina and later built a house on the shores of Lough Conn, but the location of this first house is not known.
