This video is our last vlog in the incredible Harz Mountains! Located more or less in the middle of the country, the Harz Mountains are known for its fairytale castles, charming small towns, winter and summer sport activities, steam train railways, and incredible natural beauty.

The Harz Narrow Gauge Railways (Harzer Schmalspurbahnen) have the largest network of narrow gauge railways in Germany and been classified as historical monuments since 1972. We took a steam train from Drei Annen Hohne to Brocken, the highest mountain in the Harz. The journey took about one hour one way and was incredible! It’s definitely one of the most scenic railways in Germany!

Along the way up to the Brocken our hopes of experiencing a winter wonderland were fulfilled! We didn't realize we were in for a cold surprise when we made it to the top though. Join us on this scenic steam train ride! :)
