CALLING ASPIRING FILMMAKERS (AGED 15 - 25)

My Mind On Film (MMOF) is a youth mental health film festival all about inspiration, expression, understanding, and stigma reduction with a focus on the Malaysian context. This project is central to the Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing’s commitment to engaging with young people, hearing their voices, and working together for progress.

🎬 The festival will be the first of its kind in Malaysia and includes the following objectives:
• Inspire sharing of perspectives and ideas
• Recognise that mental health is universal, changeable, and includes the positive
• Breakdown stigma

The discussion of Mental Health usually revolves around doom and gloom such as the mental struggles people face, its signs, and their negative effects. While the positive side including the healing process often being ignored. having lesser attention. Hence, MMOF this year chose the theme of REVIVAL, to reveal also the brightest side of Mental Health discussion. Together throughout our journey through the challenging years of the harsh pandemic, dreadful floods, and each of our struggles, we want to emphasize to everyone that there is always a chance to revive ourselves from the pain and struggle, to come back stronger and better than ever. 💪🏻 💪🏻 💪🏻
