A morning at the Tehachapi Loop in 4k in May 2024 - Meets, runarounds, manifests, grain, intermodals. It was one heck of a day up on the hill. I went up above tunnel 10 to get a view of trains snaking up to it and snaking away from it while at the same time being able to move 50 feet or so to get video at the Tehachapi Loop. I got up early enough to start capturing the action and as I was hiking up to the Loop, I missed a darn train. Little did I know that I was in for pretty much non-stop action. I don't recall what the issue was, but the train that I missed ended up stopping at Rowen, CA (you can see a train way off in the distance and that is that train). You will also notice that a train is parked at Woodford, CA and another one (UP) ends up parked at the Tehachapi Loop until a relief crew comes out to dog catch the train and take it into Bakersfield. Normally, I catch like 3-4 trains early in the morning at the Loop and then I head out for other spots, but it was one train after another and I didn't want to miss any, so that is why I ended up spending the entire morning here.
