After four years of hunting bears in Oklahoma with primitive archery tackle, it finally happens on this hunt. This is the first primitive archery harvest of a black bear in oklahoma in over 100 years, the last person to do so was likely a native american.

This hunt takes place opening day in southeast Oklahoma. The setup used was as follows
Ravenclaw Archery osage orange selfbow, 55 lbs at 26" draw
linen bowstring, douglas fir wood arrows, fletched with turkey feathers. Obsidian stone broadhead, hafted with hide glue and deer sinew.
