The latest escooter from Mobot called the "U3" is officially the first UL2272 certified escooter to grace the shores of Singapore. In this video, I do a quick overview on the escooter and highlight some of the key differences. More information can be found here on their website :-

Mobot has advised that their current U3 model is currently renamed to L1-1 as per the official database.

LTA currently accepts UL2272 certification from 4 testing organisations :-
1. Underwriters Lab (UL), certified scooter bears UL2272 hologram sticker
2. Canadian CSA,
3. Intertek
4. SGS
Mobot U3 is the first model to be in category 1.
Category 2 to 4 comes with their LAB LOGO only, i.e CSA, SGS, etc.
