Hotel review
Pros
*clear view of Fuji from every room & dinning hall: the no.1 reason why I chose to stay here
*have the option of Japanese-styled room
*private onsen

Cons
*location is extremely inconvenient, it is buried in the hill behind Oishi Park. I would not recommend if you do not drive here.
*very difficult to communicate with the hotel staff. I’m not talking about their English ability, but they are not very responsive to questions
*on the day of my arrival, contacting them by phone is the only way to inform them to come pick you up. Nowadays, I believe many travellers do not have international minutes to call, and would prefer to contact the host by messenger. They said I can ask the staff at the Kawaguchiko Natural Centre to call them, but by the time I arrived, the centre has closed already. Fortunately, I was able to borrow a phone from a local to call, but the guesthouse only picked up the phone the second time I call (it took me around 15 mins just to be able to contact them). So the experience was not very pleasant.
*the guesthouse does not provide very certain information all along. They said there is an option of paid dinner of 1500 yen. When I contacted them for pick up, they told me that they ran out of food already and will not be able to offer me dinner. I was quite shocked, but luckily I brought with me enough food for that night and the next morning. Imagine it is already 6:30pm and they tell you that, and there is nowhere you can buy food nearby....again, unpleasant experience.
