Our top story this morning... is the last preparatory hearing Korea's Constitutional Court will hold today into the National Assembly's impeachment motion against President Park Geun-hye.
Ahead of the hearing, President Park met with her lawyers,... fine-tuning strategies for the legal battle of her life.

The Constitutional Court will wrap up preparations for its trial on President Geun-hye's impeachment motion,... with the third and last pre-trial hearing set for Friday.
After finalizing the organization of each side's arguments and issues,... the Constitutional Court will begin assessing evidence and question witnesses at next week's trial hearings.
President Park for the first time, sat down with her entire team of lawyers at the presidential office of Cheong Wa Dae on Thursday..., to further discuss and prepare their strategies in defending her side against charges like power abuse and bribery.
The president's lawyers are, in particular, carefully documenting the president's itinerary and whereabouts on the day of the Sewol-ho ferry disaster,... as requested by the court, with the impeachment motion charging her of breach of right to life and dereliction of duty.
The court has also provided the prosecution's investigation records, both to the National Assembly's impeachment committee and the President's lawyers.
The court hinted it is committed to proceed promptly on reaching a decision on this impeachment case, already setting during Tuesday's preparatory session the dates for the first two trial hearings in the first week of January.


"While President Park is likely not to appear in person during the trial hearings,... the court is also set to discuss during Friday's preparatory hearing whether to call President Park as a witness, as requested by the National Assembly's impeachment committee.
