What if a sunny beer commercial turned into a sci-fi horror short?
This fun little spec I've dubbed, "Take Me to Your Tiki Bar" is a parody mash-up of those iconic Corona “Find Your Beach” ads — serene, minimalist shots of friends by the ocean — reimagined with UFOs, eerie vibes, and a splash of cosmic weirdness. (also, this is the shorter version, see my channel for the longer paced out version)
This started as a quick creative idea and evolved into a full-scale production experiment: Could I, as a one-man creative team, use the latest generative AI tools inside a traditional filmmaking workflow to produce something that looks like a real commercial?
The answer became a scene-by-scene blend of AI imagery and old-school editing — storyboarded, directed, designed, and finished by hand, with AI as just one set of brushes in the toolkit. Think of it as a Corona ad from another dimension.
And no, I did not get permission to use “The Beastie Boys - Intergalactic Planetary”, but I am not selling anything real here, and it was the perfect track. If you happen to be, or rep. them, please don’t sue me.

WORKFLOW NOTES:
1. Ideate – Came up with the concept and story beats manually. Inspired by vintage Corona beer commercials and my fascination with UFOs and fringe science.
2. Brainstorm & Refine – Used ChatGPT to expand on scenes, then curated and refined ideas myself.
3. Storyboard v1 – Created key art for each scene using MidJourney V7, Vidu, and ChatGPT.
-MidJourney handled style and aesthetic direction
-ChatGPT helped with scene specifics
-Vidu kept character consistency
-Upscaled with Magnific Creative Upscaler (portrait soft) and Topaz Precision Upscaler
4. Generate Part 1 – Used ChatGPT to reverse-engineer a JSON Veo3 prompt template, then created individual JSON prompts for each storyboard image.
-Generated videos with Veo3’s image-to-video tool, Vidu, and Kling
-Some shots flagged as “known person” in Veo3 and replaced via Vidu/Kling
-Upscaled all generated clips with Topaz Video AI (some to 4K for reframing)
5. Edit v1 – Rough cut in Adobe Premiere with music and SFX from Artlist.io.
6. Storyboard v2 & v3 – Brainstormed missing shots, created more key art in MidJourney + ChatGPT, upscaled with Magnific & Topaz.
7. Generate Part 2 – Same process as Part 1: Veo3, Vidu, Kling, then Topaz Video AI upscale.
8. Edit v2 & v3 – Tightened pacing, added a teaser intro, layered extensive sound design.
9. Design – Created a fake Corona Extradimensional brand label in ChatGPT, then designed a branded endcard in Adobe Illustrator.
10. Finishing –
-Minor color work in Premiere (most done in Photoshop during key art phase)
-FilmConvert Pro for Super16mm grain + Kodak film emulation
-Manual analog effects (double vision, overexposure) in Premiere
-VHS effect on endcard using Maxon Red Giant Universe
