I show you how to hack my sewing pattern the Lisa scrunchie to make a longer bow. Why switch things up? Because this ribbon bow is romantic, luxurious and perfect for Valentine's Day!

INSTRUCTIONS
1. First things first: start with your completed Lisa scrunchie. You can get the pattern for the Lisa scrunchie here because it's a cute, fun project:

2. Now, we’re going to alter the bow pattern piece. Cross out the notches. Cut the pattern piece in half (You're going to cut through the width). Add the desired number of inches to your bow using scrap paper the same width as your bow pattern piece. I added 33 inches in length because I wanted a very long bow. You can however many inches you like! You will not need jewelry wire for this bow.

3. Fold your new bow pattern piece in half so that all four peaks at the end of the pattern piece touch.. Unfold. You will have a crease down the middle of the bow. On one side of the bow, add a notch two inches to the left of the folded center. Add another notch two inches to the right of the center. Repeat these marks below. You should have 4 notches total. This is important. You’ll see why in a second.

4. Now, we’re going to follow the instructions to prepare the Lisa scrunchie bow as normal.

5. Lay your new bow pattern piece over your fabric, and cut out your bow.

6. Fold the bow pattern piece in half lengthwise, right sides together.

7. Starting at one notch, sew to the corner. Repeat on the other side. You should have a gap in the center of the bow pattern piece.

8. Turn the bow right side out. Take your time. Do it carefully.

9. Slip stitch this opening shut for a clean finish. If you decide to machine stitch, sew as close to the edge as possible.

10. Tie your pattern piece around the scrunchie into a bow.
