Ok so while it's great to have the winter sunshine on Hampstead Heath (at Gospel Oak Junction), it's in the wrong place for Westbound morning services, and here drowns out the beautiful colours of the chocolate and cream Pullman carriages and two tone Green of the classic Brush Type 4 (class 47) locomotives top and tailing this special 'Bath Christmas Statesman', excursion which ran from Hull to Bath for the Christmas Market.
Trains use the North London Line when crossing from the East Coast Main Line to the GWML Great Western, well a bit into the video, well after the leading loco has cleared, a class 378 Capitalstar bowls us out with a Richmond to Stratford working, we then get a look at the tailing loco moving at a slow speed.

D1935 (now numbered as 47 805) is owned by Locomotive Services Limited (LSL), part of the Icons of Steam group. It carries the name Roger Hosking MA 1925-2013.
