Brian Friedman is currently the VP of Innovation at Aventri, a cloud-based event management software company. Previously, Brian was the co-founder and CEO of Loopd, a wearable device that provides offline analytics and metrics to marketers and allows two-way interaction between user and marketer. Loopd was started at Draper University in 2013, and after launching their wearable product at South by Southwest, they secured $2.5 million in venture funding before a successful acquisition by Aventri in December 2016. Brian is also the author of the new book, Takeaways: Secret Truths from Leading a Startup, a pocket companion for anyone looking for advice or tools to use for their startup.
