Sono le 6:18 del mattino e ti porto a vedere “La Riserva Naturale lago di Posta Fibreno” che a quest’ora possiamo definire come un luogo magico e decisamente rilassante.
La riserva si trova nel comune di Posta Fibreno, in provincia di Frosinone, nell’area centro meridionale del Lazio ed è destinata alla conservazione e valorizzazione dell'ambiente.
Qui trovi una serie di ambienti vari, ma collegati al sistema lacustre: il fiume Fibreno, il Fosso di Carpello, il canneto, gran parte dei campi circostanti e tutta un’ampia zona collinare prospiciente la riva Nord-Est.
Più unica che rara, almeno in Europa, è l’isola Galleggiante chiamata la ROTA. Si tratta di un piccolo isolotto di forma circolare che si sposta all’interno di uno specchio d’acqua, collegato al lago da alcuni canali. Questo spostamento che, nelle giornate di forte vento, è visibile ad occhio nudo, viene generato dall’azione del vento e dal cambiamento della portata della grande sorgente sotterranea, presente sul fondo.
Il lago è come una enorme sorgente di acqua fresca proveniente in buona parte dalle falde più profonde dei vicini monti della Marsica. Tali caratteristiche, unite ad altri fattori ambientali, consentono agli organismi vegetali e animali di interagire e innescare fitte catene alimentari ai cui vertici troviamo aironi cenerini, falchi di palude, volpi, nutrie ed altri predatori, oltre che a specie ittiche di particolare interesse come la Trota Sarda.
Insomma, se ti piace la caccia fotografica questo è il posto ideale.

The reserve is located in the municipality of Posta Fibreno, in the province of Frosinone, in the central southern area of Lazio and is intended for the conservation and enhancement of the environment.
Here you will find a series of varied environments, but connected to the lake system: the Fibreno river, the Fosso di Carpello, the reeds, most of the surrounding fields and a whole large hilly area overlooking the north-east bank.
More unique than rare, at least in Europe, is the floating island called the ROTA. It is a small circular island that moves within a body of water, connected to the lake by some channels. This shift which, on days of strong wind, is visible to the naked eye, is generated by the action of the wind and by the change in the flow rate of the large underground spring, present on the bottom.
The lake is like a huge spring of fresh water coming mostly from the deepest slopes of the nearby Marsica mountains. These characteristics, combined with other environmental factors, allow plant and animal organisms to interact and trigger dense food chains at the top of which we find gray herons, marsh harriers, foxes, otters and other predators, as well as fish species of particular interest such as the Sardinian trout.
