Dr Chris is in China volunteering at one of Beijing's busiest veterinary clinics. His first patient takes him by surprise: it's a hamster! Hamsters are not allowed in Australia, so it's the first one he's ever treated. The little hamster has a worrying lump on its chest that needs urgent intervention.
The finale to Chris's trip is an unforgettable encounter with some of China's precious Giant Pandas. Chris is granted the rare privilege of hand-feeding some youngsters. He's then allowed into the most sacred area of all - the panda kindergarten to meet the adorable babies.
