Stadtverwaltung Bitterfeld-Wolfen :
Der neue Feuerwehr-Spielplatz in der Mittelstraße im Ortsteil Stadt Bitterfeld ist am 4. Mai offiziell freigegeben worden.
„Attraktive Spielplätze in den Ortsteilen sind ein wichtiger Baustein, um konkrete Angebote für unseren Nachwuchs vorzuhalten,
die Kinder- und Familienfreundlichkeit der Stadt zum Ausdruck zu bringen und sowohl die Spiel- als auch die Aufenthaltsqualität für Kinder und Eltern zu steigern“,
sagt Bitterfeld-Wolfens Oberbürgermeister Armin Schenk und meint, dass der Themen-Spielplatz aufgrund der Feuerwehr-Gestaltung auch noch andere Vorteile biete.
Einerseits greife die Anlage in der Nähe zur alten und neuen Bitterfelder Feuerwache die örtlichen Gegebenheiten aktiv mit auf und füge sich damit in das Umfeld ein.
Erst Ende November war das neu errichtete Feuerwehrgerätehaus wenige hundert Meter von dem Spielplatz entfernt an die Kameradinnen und Kameraden der Ortswehr übergeben worden.
Andererseits sei das indirekt auch ein Beitrag für die Nachwuchsgewinnung. „Wem die kleinen Feuerwehrspielgeräte gefallen, der interessiert sich sicherlich auch für die großen Feuerwehrautos.
So machen wir zumindest neugierig auf das Ehrenamt und gewinnen im besten Fall spielerisch neue Mitglieder für die Kinderfeuerwehr.“

Für die Umsetzung wurden in Summe rund 74.000,00 Euro investiert – 48.000,00 Euro für die Spielgeräte inklusive Bänke und Abfallbehälter, 26.000,00 Euro für die Tiefbauarbeiten.
Knapp zwei Drittel des Betrages wurden über das Förderprojekt Stadtumbau Ost, Programmbereich Aufwertung, Gesamtmaßnahme „Mittlere Vorstadt“ finanziert.
Die komplette Erneuerung war notwendig, weil die bisherigen Spielgeräte nicht mehr nutzbar waren.

Bitterfeld-Wolfen city administration:
The new fire department playground on Mittelstrasse in the Stadt Bitterfeld district was officially opened on May 4th.
“Attractive playgrounds in the districts are an important component in providing concrete offers for our young people,
“to express the child and family friendliness of the city and to increase both the quality of play and the quality of stay for children and parents,”
says Bitterfeld-Wolfen's mayor Armin Schenk and says that the themed playground also offers other advantages due to the fire department design.
On the one hand, the facility near the old and new Bitterfeld fire station actively takes into account the local conditions and thus fits into the surrounding area.
It was only at the end of November that the newly built fire station, a few hundred meters from the playground, was handed over to the local fire department.
On the other hand, this is also an indirect contribution to recruiting young talent. “If you like the small fire brigade play equipment, you will certainly also be interested in the large fire engines.
In this way we at least arouse curiosity about volunteering and, at best, win new members for the children's fire brigade in a playful way.”

A total of around 74,000.00 euros was invested in the implementation - 48,000.00 euros for the play equipment including benches and waste containers, 26,000.00 euros for the civil engineering work.
Almost two thirds of the amount was financed through the Urban Redevelopment East funding project, program area Upgrading, overall measure “Mittlere Vorstadt”.
The complete renovation was necessary because the previous play equipment could no longer be used.
