Purify the water in Ikana Canyon so that there is OoB water around (this may or may not actually be necessary, it could be the case that this works solely from the water beneath the owl). Ice arrows have a weird property here... they melt almost instantly in some places OoB, and by the owl, the form near you for a little bit before sinking down to the water below.

Hover closely to the owl (there is no clean way to do this), and, thanks to GlitchesandStuff, make a platform by the owl, roll on to it immediately and check the owl to dive:    • The dive  

Of note is that you absolutely cannot enter the area with the scrub, passing through will crash your game. Alternatively, make it a new day in that area, climb up, and then do this trick to get there. From here, the main part of the canyon is unloaded (and you can't load it, or load the area you're in multiple times). Exiting through the swamp or to Ikana Canyon access gives a white fadeout (weird) to the title screen.
