One mistake many coaches make with their clients is using a blind "Rule of Thumb" surrounding the timing of their clients' diet and fat loss.

Clients need to be coached as the person right in front of you.

As a coach, you need to be aware of how they're feeling with hunger, their energy levels, how long they've been in the deficit, and what progress they're making.

All of those things should play into your recommendations to your clients and how long they should stay on the diet.

If your client is feeling good on their deficit, this usually means they can be in it for longer. This is especially helpful for clients who have a lot of weight to lose.

So make sure you're not fitting your clients into a mold, and help them achieve the results they came to you for.
