So, working road construction can be a lot of work and a lot of hours, but sometimes it has its perks. It had rained all night and morning here in Colorado and there for I didn't have to work.

I went to a local pond to try out the huddleston bluegill top hook swimbait. It wasn't all that successful. It was cloudy all morning, but then the sun burned off the clouds and the bite suddenly picked up for about a half hour or so. strange Colorado weather. It can look like crap one moment and then all of a sudden the skies are blue again. It was just interesting to me to see how the weather affected the bite.
