Climb into the driver’s cab for a relaxing journey on the charming metre-gauge Bière–Apples–Morges line, operated by Transports de la région Morges-Bière-Cossonay (MBC). This single-track railway stretches nearly 30 km, linking Morges on the shores of Lake Geneva with the foothills of the Jura at Bière.

As the train departs from Bière, you travel through rolling hills, dense countryside, and peaceful villages such as Apples and Le Marais. The gradient remains moderate (max ~ 3.57%) throughout the route. The line is electrified (15 kV / 16.7 Hz AC) and features classic Stadler Be 4/4 trains, evoking a nostalgic charm. Beyond its scenic value, the railway is part of the “Voie des Sens” concept — combining nature, local craftsmanship, and gastronomy. On special themed rides, passengers can enjoy gourmet experiences aboard, such as the “Train of Flavors,” cheesemaker’s train, wine tastings, and brunch journeys.
