CCAOI, organised an online discussion to discuss the various aspects on the Indian Telecommunication Bill 2022 on 14 Oct Friday from 3pm.

The objective of this discussion is to provide participants a better understanding of the draft bill and then encourage stakeholders to make submissions within the deadline.

It was a 110 mins session, which was attended by over 85 people. Moderated by Amrita Choudhury, CCAOI, Akshi Rastogi Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co SAM provided an overview of the bill, the expert speakers at the session were Neha Chaudhari, Ikigai Law; Uthara Ganesh, Snapchat; Dr Mahesh Uppal, Rajesh Chharia Internet Service Providers Association of India (ISPAI); Kazim Rizvi, The Dialogue, Nikhil Pahwa, MediaNama and Amit Mathur, Jio. Several other members of the audience (from different stakeholder communities) shared their views during the discussion.

The chat moderators for the session were Ihita Gangavarapu and Shradhanjali Sarma from Youth India IGF and the rapporteurs for the session were Samrridhi Kumar, Yaqoob Alam and Rashmi Ranjan Pani - Fellows, Youth Internet Governance Forum, 2022 cohort.
