We stand here today in uncertainty and adversity. Many of us are scared and bewildered due to the looming probability of recession. But I want to remind you that everyone of us has a light in this darkness.
Self-awareness is that light. It's the realization that we control our own life. Self-awareness helps us identify our strengths and flaws, hopes and concerns, and future goals.
Self-awareness alone is not enough. We must also accept ourselves, warts and all. Self-acceptance is the realization that we are all flawed and that we can only develop and evolve by accepting ourselves.
Finally, we must seek self-actualization. This is the knowledge that we are capable of so much more. It's the desire to improve ourselves and leave a mark.
I trust us, even though times are terrible. I believe we can overcome this recession and construct a better future for ourselves and our children if we work toward self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-actualization.
Thus, we need not fear. Let us prevail. Instead, let us stand tall and confident, knowing we can be great. Let's work together to make tomorrow better for everyone.
