Hitachi Vegetation Manager predicts and prevents vegetation threats

Hitachi Vegetation Manager (HVM) is our response to the widespread vegetation issues affecting utilities and their customers today. As part of the Lumada FSM suite of solutions, HVM is deeply focused on improving reliability and resiliency of the grid.

The closed-loop connected system provides a web-based back-office application and two native iOS field applications for aerial and ground patrol, work-site assessment, and vegetation cut planning, to predict and prevent vegetation threats. HVM directly integrates with Maxar’s advanced Earth imaging satellites and ingests various georeferenced media sets (e.g., LiDAR, videos, or pictures), providing utility partners with a new set of tools to visualize vegetation risks, analyze vegetation data, and connect field and aerial insights to back-office planning efforts.
