Tutorial: how to use the BERNINA hopper feet no. 9, 15, 24 and 29/29C for free motion stitching

Описание к видео Tutorial: how to use the BERNINA hopper feet no. 9, 15, 24 and 29/29C for free motion stitching

In this video tutorial we introduce you to four specialist feet whose common characteristic is a vertical spring which presses the foot down onto the fabric and, together with the activated needle stop, ensure the fabric does not pull up or ‘flag’.

These so-called hopper feet give you plenty of creative leeway: Darning foot no.9 is suitable for free-motion quilting, contour quilting, as well as darning. The embroidery foot no. 15 can easily be used for applications and free-motion quilting. It is a real specialist accessory when it comes to sewing multiple layers of fabric or thick fabrics. Free-hand quilting work, contour quilting and thread painting can be done particularly well and precisely with the quilting foot no. 29/29C. For free-motion quilting and stitching small details (microstippling), your best choice would be the free-motion embroidery foot no. 24.
