“Working in Saudi Arabia is not all doom and gloom,” says Nelly Sankale.

The Narok born-lady says the she had a heavenly moment in Saudi. She worked there for 22 months and only cooked for her boss for just 9 months.

Also, her boss did not bark orders at her. Guess what, she used to wake up at 9.30am every morning and her boss was cool with it.

The mother of one had access to her phone 24/7 and could call her family back home whenever she wanted.

Then, Nelly did what many people who have worked in Saudi would regard as unthinkable; she asked and trusted her boss to keep her pay until it was time to come back home. And… she got all her money in lumpsum.

“I really want to go back,” Nelly told me.
