Gurvinder Singh tells us about his experiences of staying in Bir and watching life in the hills closely - one that holds many hardships underneath its idyllic beauty.
He further expands on working with less rigid formats and non-actors in Khanaur - the story of a 17-year-old Kishan who hails from Baragraan—a remote village of ancient wooden houses—and works at a café in the small town of Bir.
Torn between family expectations and his own desires to belong in the world outside.

Singh is a graduate of the Film and Television Institute of India.
He has directed two features—Chauthi Koot (2015), which screened at DIFF 2015, and Alms for the Blind Horse (2011).
