The Head Gasket on the LH side decided to give out on my 3rd Generation Wagon. Here is the video I made in the process of fixing it.

I show the whole process;
Engine tear down,
Getting the Engine out of the Car,
Prepping of all the parts,
Assembling the Heads,
Assembling the Cam Towers,
Setting the Timing Belts
Setting Ignition Timing,
Installing the Engine back into the Car,
Etc...

The EA82 engine was Subaru's first Timing Belt Engine (OHC)
Before, with the EA81 and all previous EA engines, they were OHV, pushrod engines.

This EA82 engine is an early version. It is Carbureted instead of Fuel Injected.
Originally it would have a Hitachi Carburetor. Several Years ago I swapped on a Weber 32/36 DGEV Carburetor. I still have the original Hitachi carb with it's Intake Manifold sitting on the shelf.
This model also had Air Conditioning, but that has been removed as it was no longer working and Washington only gets hot in the Summer. This combined with the Weber Carb swap has simplified the engine compartment.
Also, I run the Timing Belts without Covers. This makes getting to the Timing Belts much easier.

The process here will be similar for all 1985 - 1994 EA-82 engines.
This engine was used in the wagon, sedan, coupe, and XT variants.
