Destiny - Solo Vault of Glass Hard Mode Raid - Full Run

Destiny - Solo Vault of Glass Hard Mode Raid - Full Run / HM VoG Solo Full Run. No skips, no exploits and no ammo glitch was used in this run, no self-res either other than on Atheon. However, TO NOTE: There are 2 parts of the raid that are impossible to solo - Gorgon's Maze and Gatekeeper. Gorgon's Maze requires an instance with three people or it has a blocked path (as I show in here at 38:09). Gatekeeper requires 1 extra person outside to prevent a wipe mechanic. In both of these cases the additional members did absolutely nothing to assist. For Gorgon's Maze I had them load into the instance to remove the blockage and then leave right after. For Gatekeeper the 1 additional member hid in the back doing nothing at all other than preventing the wipe mechanics. So while this is not a "true solo", this is as close as you can possibly get (including no cheese skip for the Raise the Spire).

This is just a full walk through of the raid without it being broken up into segments. There will be some random transitions between each section of the raid due to them all being done at individual times and not a single flawless run, along with some parts having issues with PS4Share and not properly starting the recording to needing to adjust for it.

Did Normal Mode earlier in the week so wanted to knock off Hard Mode too. Difficulty-wise it's a little bit of a step up compared to Normal Mode from a solo perspective. Time-stamps of each part is below and I'll explain the differences/difficulties I had in each part.

00:00 - Solo Raise the Spire Hard Mode (No Cheese):
This part isn't too bad really once you learn the spawns. The most difficulty I had here was actually getting into zone that had no extra players in here. There was a period of 20 tries in a row that I was unable to get in there solo.

04:26 - Solo Confluxes Hard Mode:
Confluxes was a slight step up from Normal Mode but didn't change too much. Enemies did more damage and seemed a little more frequent, but overall it wasn't too bad of a fight and didn't change much. Used no ammo glitch here and did it with Voidwalker and no self-res. Still a pretty fun fight.

16:16 - Solo Oracles Hard Mode:
This was by far the biggest change from Normal Mode and probably the most difficult transition. In Normal Mode it took only 5 VoC shots to kill the Oracles, in Hard Mode it takes 9. Enemies again were more frequent, did more damage and took less damage. The Templar became a pain too. I did this a little differently than Normal Mode this time around as being out in the area made you very prone to death. Again did this with no ammo glitch or self-res, ended up being a pretty sloppy kill but got it done.

25:00 - Solo Templar Hard Mode:
A little bit of a step up from Normal Mode. Take a lot more damage and enemies seem a little more aggressive, have to be more careful than in Normal Mode. Fun fight still but not too difficult really.

36:17 - Solo Gorgon's Maze* Hard Mode:
Unfortunately this requires 3 people in a fireteam to be able to progress in Hard Mode (NM too). If you're in an instance solo then there's a blockage in the way preventing you from moving forward. The only real difference to Normal mode is there's a few stationary Gorgon's in the maze.

42:34 - Solo Gatekeeper* Hard Mode:
Again, unfortunately due to raid mechanics this section is also impossible to solo on Hard Mode (NM too). If you don't have a player outside the portal you wipe. So I had an additional member hide in the back doing nothing at all to assist in the fight other than prevent the wipe mechanic. I did it solo again without any other assistance. Compared to Normal Mode this is only marginally more difficult. Enemies hit a bit harder and you're a little more prone to dying. Outside of that it's not too bad. The instance seemed a little laggy at times (some melee's with relic wouldn't affect the Minotaurs), and it was late at this stage so some sloppy shooting too, but got it done relatively painless. See pinned comment for more.

47:05 - Solo Atheon Hard Mode:
You do this fight exactly the same as you would in Normal Mode. Things hurt a little more but it's not too bad. My timing was slightly off here and jumped earlier than ideal, but still killed it fairly quick.

Overall Hard Mode was a decent challenge over Normal Mode.

This is done in Year 2 / TTK and not Year 1, so it is far less impressive than the original feat when people solo'd it. It was the last raid/endgame challenge I needed to solo and wanted to check it off.
