Pakistani media and politicians talk ad-nauseam of Pakistan’s powerful Establishment, but do we actually have an Establishment in Pakistan? All civilised countries have an Establishment, but Pakistan has few powerful men that masquerade as Establishment. In fact Pakistan needs an Establishment and it doesn’t have one.
