Shashi Tharoor, a third-term Member of Parliament for Thiruvananthapuram, is the bestselling author of 20 fiction and non-fiction books. He is a former Under Secretary-General of the United Nations and a former Minister of State for Human Resource Development and for External Affairs in the Government of India. He has won numerous awards, including the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman, a Commonwealth Writers’ Prize and the Crossword Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2019, Dr. Tharoor was also awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award for his book An Era of Darkness. He chairs Parliament’s Standing Committee on Information Technology.

Saurabh Dwivedi is the Founding Editor of The Lallantop, India’s most talked about vernacular digital first news venture known for its election coverage and new age writing style. Dwivedi is also known for his news web series Political Kisse, which has millions of views. Previously, he worked with Aajtak, Star News, Dainik Bhaskar and Nav Bharat Times. He is currently working on some film scripts and a romance novel.

Anant Vijay, currently with Dainik Jagran, is a senior journalist, columnist and author with more than two decades of journalistic experience. He has written nine books across various genres and is the author of the bestselling Bollywood Selfie. His latest book is Marxwad ka Ardhsatya. He is currently working on the Superstar Selfie, a book on the legends of Hindi Cinema. He is a recipient of the National Award for Best Writing on Cinema.

An annual event that goes beyond literature, the Festival has also hosted Amartya Sen, Amitabh Bachchan, the late A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Oprah Winfrey, Stephen Fry, Thomas Piketty and former president of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai.
