A Rare and Beautiful Black Tulip

Описание к видео A Rare and Beautiful Black Tulip

In this long awaited episode, I've taken a look at a tricky time for Philips in the late 1970's and a largely misguided attempt to create a world-beating audiophile sub-brand.

This meander through a period of HiFi history is not meant to be a criticism of the wider Philips brand, nor does it look at the broader range of Philips HiFi components, but it forms a part of the Philips story of great innovation with poor marketing; and being a little too late to the party.

Some of the photos have been taken from various pages online and I've been unable to source originals of many shots. If any of the images belong to you, I thank-you in advance and will gladly amend this with an appropriate credit.

Later on, I'll create an unboxing video of my Philips Black Tulip components, but if you're interested in buying them, please drop me a line.
