So I got the first DDR, the Internet Ranking version, specifically, working on MAME, so I wanted to do a little playthrough. Apparently, unlike the console version, you can play beyond 3 stages, but there are still 4 stage-specific animations, so past the fourth stage you play, it reverts to the 1st stage animations. And since this also works for the Final Stage-only songs, TRIP MACHINE and PARANOiA, I have a video planned about this.
