Base 2 (Binary Number System, Conversions & Arithmetic)

This foundations of math video explains the binary number system (base 2). We show how to convert base 2 to base 10 (convert binary to decimal), and how to convert decimal to binary (base 10 to base 2). We also show how to perform binary addition and subtraction without having to convert to base 10. The binary number system, which uses only the digits 0 and 1, is commonly used when working with computers.
