“Even if you are alone in the car, why object to wearing a mask? It is for your own safety. The pandemic crisis has increased. Whether a person is vaccinated or not, they should wear masks.” said Judge Pratibha M Singh while ruling out the judgement that wearing a mask is compulsory even if a person is driving alone in his private car.

The Delhi High court also termed the car ‘a public place’ and said that mask is like a ‘suraksha kavach’ (safety armour) and protects the person from other people around him and vice versa.
