The Dark Nights Metal one shots continue with Batman The Drowned #1, which spins out of Earth -11, where all the hero genders are reversed. Faced with the loss of her love, Bryce Wayne hunts rouge meta humans to the point of extinction, while drowning the world in her sorrow. Another great origin for the Dark Knights from DC Metal. We also have the aftermath of Bruce and Selina getting engaged in Batman #33. It's another strong start to a story line, with the art doing a ton of the heavy lifting. Lets not forget Superman #33 which drops the super family right into the battle for the throne of Darkseid. Also we get Sherlock Frankenstein, which deals with the origin of some villains from the Black Hammer universe.

Mighty Thor #700 is also a great homage to one of Marvels oldest heroes and it paints a path forward for the character. There is plenty of death and destruction on the horizon for the Odinson and Jane Foster Thor, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
