Alan Page Highlights - MVP

The 1970's was dominated by great defenses like the Steel Curtain, the Fearsome Foursome, the Doomsday Defense, and of course, the Purple People Eaters. Each of those defenses had a Hall of Fame defensive tackle to lock down the middle. Minnesota had arguable the greatest of them all in Alan Page, who wrecked offenses for over a decade as part of the purple gang. His legendary 1971 season saw him win the MVP, making him one of only two defensive players to ever win the prestigious award. And it could be argued that his football career is probably the least interesting part of Alan Page's life story.
