Ankle Alignment Exercise

Описание к видео Ankle Alignment Exercise

In this video, we dive into a crucial exercise for dancers and performing artists: ankle alignment. Proper ankle alignment not only enhances stability but also improves flexibility, crucial for executing precise movements with grace and ease.

These exercises will enhance the following:
-Stability: Strengthening the ankle muscles helps prevent injuries and supports balanced weight distribution.
-Flexibility: Improving ankle flexibility allows for greater range of motion, essential for fluid movements in dance and performance.
-Precision: Correct alignment enhances the aesthetic quality of movements, making performances more polished and expressive.

The specialized team from CHPT, now Wellness 360 understands the needs and requirements of performing artists. During treatment for a Performance-Related Musculoskeletal Disorder, we provide strategies to prevent further strains, sprains or overuse so that you can return to optimal performance as soon as possible. Often times, after physical therapy intervention, you will find yourself performing with greater ease and less fatigue, what we refer to as performance enhancement. We work closely with each dancer, knowing their unique issues and using an approach much different than those used in sports medicine. That’s because our therapists all have training in dance or dance medicine and can speak in terms of demi plié and port de bras instead of squats and arm lifts!

We work extensively with students, professionals, recreational musicians and dancers, as well as their teachers. Dancers from Rochester City Ballet, Garth Fagan Dance, FuturPointe Dance, Park Avenue Dance, and other Rochester-based companies come to us when they need skilled physical therapy.

Musicians also benefit from our performing arts backgrounds. We treat teachers as well as students from area public and private schools, including Hochstein Music School and the Eastman School of Music. Professionals from the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, and chamber groups are also included in our list of patients.
