I have a 1999 GSXR 600 that I have been restoring for my son. I purchased a brand new replacement ignition switch for it because the previous owner cut the ends off of almost every electrical component on this bike in an effort to make it run. The factory ignition switch has a built in 100 ohm resistor for the Orange/red ground wire coming from the ECU as a theft deterrent.The new replacement switch that is being sold on eBay as a direct replacement does not have the 100 ohm resistor. I didn't think I needed to test for this so it took me a hot minute to figure this issue out.
